Welcome to the real Warship

We embarked on a journey to promote the epic game ‘World of Warships: Legends’ by Wargaming. Our mission was to capture the attention of new audiences and take our campaign beyond the ordinary.

Together with a unique YouTube creator, we filmed a comedy sketch on HMS Caroline, a light cruiser of the Royal Navy. This authentic warship, which has seen battle action, is one of the living legends of the British fleet. Have a look how history has come to life!

World of Warships is a free-to-play naval warfare themed multiplayer online game, developed and published by Wargaming. WoWS: Legends was rebuilt to support console and mobile gameplay. This is the revived history of the fleet — flotillas of legendary warships of the first half of the 20th century converge in battles.

We needed to do more than just introduce the audience to the product; we had to motivate them to play the game, attract a new audience, and go beyond standard integrations.
Our goal was to attract influencers with a large and motivated audience, focusing on creators with a unique approach. We found a YouTube creator called Squire (709K followers), who makes historical sketches. Then we went to a real C-class cruiser of the Royal Navy that saw action during World War I. Onboard, we created a comedy video that captured the essence of the game, featuring a captain and his hapless chief mate in an epic showdown.

We didn’t just attract new audiences to the game, we invited them to step aboard and experience the adventure for themselves.
